Only a few personal experiences but certainly recommended for tasty dishes and for low cost. The photos are of the self-service Puzata Hata, (strongly recommended) Basseina Str. 1/2a.

A self-service located on two floors of a new building with characteristic style, very comfortable and with regular customers (it's not unusual to queue for 15 minutes) as for the taste, prices are really very low.

Other than self-service to consider is Potata House 20 metres from Maidan Nezalezhnosti, beside the Hotel Kazats'kyj. A speciality is certainly roast potatoes but you will find everything. We can advise roast fish and meat, really well made and flavoursome.

A good restaurant a few steps from the airport is the hotel restaurant Borispyl, here you can eat well and the price is just.

To eat in Kiev, like in other towns of the Ukraine, in any bars or street kiosks you can find good dishes of meat and mixed salad.

All of this is related to Ukrainian cuisine, don't look for Italian or international cuisine if you want to eat well and spend little.
